about

Here is a brief description of the tracks:

1. Georgia Governor Kemp is making fun of my home state of Georgia’s Governor for opening things way too early during the pandemic. The lyrics make fun of him opening tattoo parlors, barber shops and bowling alleys as if they are essential.

2. BoJack sounds like a love song to BoJack which is a fictional character on Netflix. I’m singing about being bummed out that there are no more episodes to watch after binge watching.

3. All You Can Eat Sushi is a song I wrote as a joke to get Hana to go with me to an all you can eat sushi restaurant. It was not meant to even be a real song, but Hana really liked it and it is a crowd favorite at live shows. It’s a super silly song. I laugh every time we play it.

4. Ramen is a love song with a Ramen theme. I try to make my lyrics different and fun.

5. Rilakkuma County is a song about a fictional county named after the Japanese fictional character Rilakkuma the Relax Time Bear. The lyrics mention that in this fictional county we just chill. We lay around in bed drinking beer, nobody has a job, and we don’t need cops because there is no crime.

6. The Internet People (Know Every Move You Make) is about the fact that when you use a cell phone or computer on the net, all kinds of info is known about you. I wrote it about when I went to a bar and don’t recall looking at my phone and later I get an ad on my Instagram about the bar. It’s kind of a comic twist on the big brother is watching concept.

7. LOVE is a solo song by Hana sung in Japanese with just vocals and piano. It is about love of the universe and nature. People have said it sounds like a Ghibli (Japanese anime) song.
